How "We" Became "Us"
Once Andrew knew he wanted to turn Carly from best friend to wife, he began to devise his master plan. The first step was securing the rock, and for that he turned to his father and grandfather for help. His grandfather Lino was a jeweler for decades and ironically enough worked directly across the street from the shop the ring would be purchased from in Manhattan's Diamond District.

The next step was finding a way to surprise Carly and capture the moment in real time, which is where best friend (and man) Dan came into play. Andrew and Dan have been doing video projects together since they were kids and came up with a plan for arranging and capturing the moment.
On August 22, 2017 (Stanley's 3rd birthday), the time had come. Andrew brought Carly and Stanley to a dog-friendly arboretum under the pretense of having dinner at an outdoor restaurant on the premesis that also had a menu for pets (this was all complete BS of course). After navigating the scenic trails of the arboretum, they arrived at a bridge adorned with balloons that Carly thought were there for Stanley's birthday. As she got closer, she noticed the balloons were yellow, orange, and green (her colors). When she saw the question mark balloon, her face droped and her heart soared.
